This is a bit of a late post but none the less, here it is~
On the 22th September we went to the Royal Armouries to take more pictures of inspirational items to continue and add to what we initially gathered at the Leeds City Museum. The overall summary of what I looked at was small light weapons like daggers and architecture. Here are some of the photos I took during my venture at the Armouries.
These are two of the photos I took not long after arrival. I really like these two photo's because they have such a futuristic feel to them. The architecture inside as you can see on the picture to the left, is very Bauhaus because of geometric shapes used in it's structure. I think the mathematical layout is what makes it seem so futuristic and clean. It's simple yet effective~ The picture to the right was taken in the Hall of Steel and almost looks like a portal to another dimension. I love how the display of weapons form a pathway all the way up to the top giving it the illusion of being a corridor from this angle. Funnily enough, this picture made me of the silo in the Goldeneye game.

These four pictures are models of castles/forts. The (birds eye view) presentation of these models is quite interesting because it makes you able to see and imagine different things. When I looked at them I started to see a really good structure and shape to base a level or environment on. It's amazing what a few simple shapes and lines could create. This is a great example why I'm starting to fall in love with this course even more. It's really pulled the veil from over my eyes and I'm now able to see the world and all in wonders in a different light. Everything is an idea waiting to be discovered~
