Illustrator Induction (part 3)

The original image was scanned in from my sketch book. I went over it using the pen tool to get a feel of what it would be like to work in Illustrator. Personally, I hate it it. I don't think I could accomplish the effect I want for the hair in illustrator because there's just so much messing about to try get different line thickness' and to me it just looks horrible. I want to create more strands and detail in the hair and I really struggle to achieve this using this program. So for me personally, I don't think I'll be using Illustrator much for my character designs. I might consider using it if I was doing something more simplistic and maybe none human but for now, I'm staying away.
