Hairstyle Ideas

Now i'm moving onto looking at hairstyles. As you can see from the previous drawings, I've given her your typical Egyptian bob hair cut. I'm undecided as to whether she should have long or short hair though. I think long hair would be nice because, as she dances, it acts as an extension of her outfit and all it's flowing fabrics and really brings the movement to life but on the other hand, short hair allows you to focus more on her other features and highlights the neck area more. These are the hairstyles I've currently been looking at...

Out of the two pictures I really love the coontails (left image). They're so beautiful and unique~ But I do like the tied up style. I like the use of the plaits. I stumbled across this hairstyle while looking into Greek stuff.

These are some sketches based on the images you see above. My initial thoughts were to make the coontails blue and yellow/gold inspired by Tutankhamen. As you can see I don't really know where to put the coontails. I quite like them at the front only because it just adds that nice bit of detail but isn't too overpowering and in your face. Now it's just a case of experimenting with the colours.
